Attention donors and site contributors. Just in case you haven't checkout out the Lounge lately... we have an "interactive writing project" happening in the donor/site contributor area of the forum. We are collaboratively writing a glossary of definitions for words about salamanders. Ultimately, it will be posted on Caudata Culture in a static form - unless we come up with some other use for it! If you are a donor and you like to write, or you're looking for a way to help out this site, join us! Anyone who helps will be listed as a co-author in the final product.:famous: We have an absurdly long list of words as the starting point, and so far we have reached the letter D...

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
