I've noticed that some people house more then one tiger Sal togerther. I thougth that you could not house anything with them because they would try to eat their tank mate. Whats the up, can you or cant you? Just curious.

I have two adults in a 20 long, and they don't bother each other. I wouldn't keep a juvenile with an adult, but I don't think housing adults together is an issue.

I've housed adult tigers together with no problems. I would not want to use anything smaller than a 20gal long for two adults. One time, however, I had two adults together (same size) - one was docile and one was quite aggressive. The more aggressive one was always stepping over and stepping on the more docile one - this resulted in the docile one getting some substrate in his eye (from being stepped on) which caused a mild ocular abrasion which was treated with sterile ophthalmic Neosporin ointment and sterile amphibian ringers solution as a wash. After that, these two were separated.

As Kaysie says - if there is a significant size difference, this could be an issue...they are predatory carnivores.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
