hi, i've just joine, my name is chris, i'm 17 yr old, i have been keeping reptiles since i was 10, i keep

1.0 S.s bernardezi
1.1 S.s fastuosa
1.2 S.s terrestris
0.1 spotted salamander
0.1 red backked salamander
1.1 slimey salamander
2.2.3 paddle tailled newt
1.1 reinwardt's flying frogs
1.2 green tree frogs
1.2 grey tree frogs
1.5 whites tree frogs
1.1 painted burrowing frogs
1.1 european green toads
and 35 various reptiles

i'm hoping to start breeding a few of the frogs and salamanders in 2008

    with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
