My name is Aki. I'm living in the Capital Area of Finland and currently preparing and working with my master degree in University of Helsinki, Department of Environmental and Biological sciences. My mainfields are ecology, environmental ecology, conservation biology and limnology and I'm currently about to specialise on freshwater wetland habitats, their biodiversity and conservation. My passions relay especially on amphibians and invertebrate fauna of freshwater wetland ecosystems. The group of Reptiles is, among the already mentioned amphibians, also one of my dearest groups of animals like it quite often is for so many other herpetologically oriented people too. The group of amphibians is still and overwhelmingly acting a major part of my main interests and everything else in the field of biology follows and derives from that base, basic setting and starting point. Biogeographically I'm interested specifically in the whole Indomalayan ecozone and Europe. I have also additional special interest in tropical and subtropical mountaineous ecosystems, islands and archipelagoes. Due to all of that, I really enjoy to travel regularly in these areas around the globe and fieldtripping and exploring the nature also abroad of my country. However, I do also enjoy really when travelling around my home country and adjacent areas too. Fieldtripping overall is one of my best options considering of my leisure- and spare time. :) My other interests are photographing and illustrating the nature and also producing more or less regularly some writings of popularized articles dealing with the nature, conservation and environmental issues to the public media as a freelancer journalist, while studying and working in various fields of biology and other closely related issues.

I have been here in Caudata Org also earlier, but I have lost my previous passwords and stuffs for my past account, being now missing already about one or two years and thus creating now a new one for me. This is some kind of comeback of me then...

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
