I've been a member since about 2004/2005, but I changed my e-mail address when I got broadband and couldn't get back on the Forum...

So I'm back as Platinumtwo--presumably minus my donor status and past posts. Hopefully those of you I've been in touch with in the past will realise who I am!

I'm no lady. :p

Barry: I am sorry I didn't get around to your Thursday email. It doesn't change your email - are you sure you put in the one that you used to register?

Actually I just discovered that I did reply to your email but your email address doesn't work: barryw@aol.com is a bogus address according to aol's mail server which bounces it back.

Hi, John,

No worries. All I did was order broadband which has been a long time coming around here. It caused endless problems and lots of lost e-mail. The re-registering was pure frustration and impatience.--like lots of others I get withdrawal symptoms when I can't read caudata each day
It would be nice to get my donor status back, but it's no big deal.
Unless that lovely lady can help...?

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
