My Axie Taylor is acting normally but when I fed him tonight I noticed two small white lumps on his skin, one by his mouth and one under his forleg (in his armpit) does anyone know what to do to treat these lumps? They don't look like fungus or parasites. I've posted a pic below, you can see both of the lumps.

I think my axolotl had one of those too. I wasnt sure what it was but it went away. I'm pretty sure its a sign of stress in some way. My axolotl had one on its lip also. After acouple of days it went away but she constantly hid herself under plants or in her cave. I also noticed that it seemed like her skin was peeling also. Now shes fine and acting normal.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
