My siren lacertina has white patches, they are not fluffy, it looks like they are a couple of millimeters deep, and about 1 inch or less in diameter. I know recently his water was not as acidic as it should have been and I've now changed 1/2 of his water will real tanic acid slough water from an wild water source. Will this fix his problem or should I treat with something. He is at least 4 years old and is eating fine still. There is nothing but an occasional crawfish (food) in the tank with him.
