I'm giving some thought to making my own 'realistic looking' background to put in my axolotl tank. I currently have the plastic sheet stuff that has a picture of underwater scenes but its lacking the depth i would like to create.
Now I have come across posts on here where members have made their own backgrounds out of something called 'great stuff'. I found most of these posts in the newts/salamanders section and have been impressed by the setups some of you have created using this 'great stuff'.
Is this hard foamy stuff the same sort of expanding foam some people use to aid installing windows and to fill gaps? If so does anyone know the name it goes by in the UK?
Would it be safe to use in an axolotl tank?
