not eating

Hi
I got my new Axie on Sunday (he/she is gorgeous) but it's not eating, I realise the move from the shop may have been stressful, but she doesn't appear stressed in any other way.... how long till I should start to get worried.

Nitrate, ammonia & nitrite levels are normal, pH 6.5, temp 18
 
The first night I offered him a prawn, the second a sliver of liver and tonight I have put some brine shrimp in (hoped the movement would tempt him) I haven't actually seen him eat but the shrimp seem to have depleted in number (unless they are all asleep on the bottom of the tank:rolleyes:)
 
Thanks, I'll try a worm tonight and let you know if he takes it

lol. i found mine absolutly loves his worms. no second that i put it in front of him and its gone. do feel sorry for them wen there trying to escape.

    with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
