I have 2 axolotls, both male, 1 is wild-type and the other is golden. I noticed just now that on of his front legs is mostly gone! All that is left of the leg is the bone, and some muscle is exposed. I also noticed that his other front leg has some skin ripped off, exposing some muscle. They are kept in an axolotl-friendly environment and I have had no issues between the 2 axolotls except for some snapping. The wild-type is about twice as large as the golden, could he be attacking him? Even biting off his leg? And will he be ok? He swims around and such but his lack of leg really hinders him, will it grow back? Each axolotl has experienced a ripped tail in which grey back normal, will his leg? Should I seperate them? Someone help!!!
