So I have a 55 gal tank with four established P. labiatus and last night I was looking at them and noticed something strange on one of their back legs. I took the newt out and pulled off the strange thing on its leg and as I am looking at this "dot" on my finger I realize that it is moving! Any how I end up finding a total of four on the newt, three stuck to a back leg and one on the side of the neck. I checked the other three newts in the tank for them and none of them had them. I took them all out and put them in separate quarantteens until I can figure out what this is. Is anyone familiar with these? They look like a beetle, round with black and yellow coloring on the back and tiny tiny redish legs.
