o.k, this may sound odd but bare with me :D perhaps I'm becoming a little obsessed and therefore seeing axie larvae everywhere:eek:

but.... my daughter has long hair and today it was tied in a plait, so her hair hung from her head like a tail, adding to this, as she has been playing so a bit has come loose, thus giving her 'whispy' bits around her head, she just walked into the house thus creating a silhouette of herself and it immediately struck me that she looked like an axie baby.....

definately obssessed

Alison, step away from the axies:eek:

Oh, but what a healthy obssession. :D

Don't step away from the tank - you may miss something!

I have the advantage that my grandmother will report on whats going on in the axie tank while I am obssessing with this forum....;)

Alison, I know just what you mean. Yesterday I was late to eat and was so hungry that my stomach felt hollow. Raising axolotl larvae for the first time, I thought, "Oh, I probably have an air bubble in my stomach. It will go away once I eat." Air bubbles indeed, but more likely in my head. Everything is looking lotly!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
