View Full Version : Frog Tumor?

My brother has two ACF's, and one of them has a swollen side. The side is pretty big, and has been like this for almost a month now. It still eats fine, (we only feed it frog food from the store.). And the water is kept clean, and also filtered. I took some pictures for reference:

Can you please tell me if this is a tumor? (And if it is, what should we do with it?)

Amphibians do get tumors, so it's certainly a strong possibility. I don't know what you could do about it. You would need to get a veterinary consult.

Is there any chance that the frog ingested a rock or snail in the tank? They can sometimes continue to eat, even with a large object in the digestive tract. That's the only other possibility I can think of.

Hello,
IMO it looks like a tumor. But I'm not a veterinary.

If the frog is eating fine and it still has a normal behaviour let it live his life. But if the frog gets trouble trouble in this then you shouls euthanise it.
