I recently came across the large 10 pound blocks of organic coconut fibre, now selling at whole foods for 10 $. Pet stores up here charge 30 $. plus tax! Ja! Its called Coco Earth by GROTECK. You may already know this?

Score! That's a good find.

An excellent find indeed! Shame I don't have any Whole Foods near by....sigh.

Not be a party pooper, but a bag of approx. 30 kilo (about 66 pounds) costs about 6 euro's (about 9 dollar) here. You people are being ripped of it seems!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
