I have not posted in along time, but still lurk quite frequently. I have just saved these guys from a guy who had them with frogs . I showed him that the toes were getting eaten from the frogs and a few other sores from being attacked . He had no problem with me taking them as he liked the fire bellied frogs better anyways. This is them in their temporary home.
I was told that they are Crocodile newts, and I am pretty certain they are T. verrucosus just from what I have read on the care sheet and species, but would still like some other input from you experts. the picture on the right is the newt that had been getting attacked - the other has no signs of damage what so ever. They both are eating very well from tweezers and seem pretty active now that they have a tank without another species in it.
