I don't know what the heck I got in my tank. I'm imagining there will inevitably be small things running around in my tank, BUT I've GOT to make sure.

I've got four ghost shrimp and I'm not sure if they mated, but the first pic is the biggest of the tons of little shiffty things in my tank. Then... something that sent me into a fit; some kind of worm. I'm so terrified of parasites... Help me identify what I've got goin on here.

All those "dust particles' around the worm are just more of what I got in the first picture... but so very much smaller. They do move independently and are aware of things around them. They dance almost on the glass and out into the water, but stay mostly on the glass... I just noticed them today.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
