My larvae morphed. I dont have any pictures yet, but i will soon. Here is a discription:

1 to 2 inches long.
Dark brownish/gray color.
Took about 2 months.
White bellies.

I think they are blue spotted salamanders but they might only be spotted salamanders. What is a good food for tiny salamanders? How about finley chopped worms? I will have a picture soon.

Thank you for your help.

Re: ???Morphed Salamanders???

Hello Caudatadude28, I moved your post to this forum where it belongs. The Forum Questions forum is for questions about about the structure and working of caudata.org, not animals.

As for feeding your newly morphed salamanders I couldn't say for sure what would be best. Chopped earthworms may work. Other things to try would be dusted small crickets or fruit flies, depending on the animal's size. Someone should provide a good answer for you shortly.

My standby is blackworms in a shallow dish. I'd try to get some springtails and start a culture right away, they can breed pretty quick under the right circumstances. Also, Abrahm's suggestions.
