:talker: Hi everyone!

My name is TaRah. I have had little newts as a kid and have been reading up on these little guys quite some time and was told to join this forum from a friend and join the community. I am very the smallest State ever Delaware.. and hardly find anyone close to me with the same hobbies.

I have been in the hobby of Dart frogs for almost 3 years and now I have decided to go with a newt or salamander of some sort, so not so much a Noob I hope. :)

I am pretty sure I will have a few questions ( A TON ) and i want to say thank you to everyone who post on here with helping out with new comers like me!

Hope to see you around!!

if you have any advice on a Beginner newt..please let me know!! :)

Hello Littledip, welcome to the site. I have the same problem living in Hawaii. Newts are not really a big thing here either.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
