hi i have just joined this forum and thought i would say hello to everyone. kinda came across this site while i was looking for information on my axolotls. i have three axolotls, two i believe to be wild type and the other is white (leucistic). they are roughly 3months old. i am from nottinghamshire. im 22 and female. i also kept many different reptiles. and also a member on the reptile forum as chameleon mans sis kim (if anyone else is on there). any advice on axolotls you wanna help me with is cool. i have everything set up the way it should be... just trying to sex them but i believe they little bit too young at the min. thanks anyway everyone. and hello

Welcome! This is definitely the place. We have people here from all over the world, so we ask you to use the best English you can (like capitalizing "I" and using good punctuation, for example, "I've", and capitalizing your sentences). There's a lot of people here, and lots to learn!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
