just wondering if it is benificial to add some salt to the water? i know that its good for tropical & african fish, but wasnt 100% on axolotls? for the record ive been adding about a tablespoon to 10L of water since theyve hatched - we're now at about 6 weeks & they seem to be doing good...

Salt may help to compensate *if* you happen to have very soft water (little or no natural minerals). The buffering solutions that they sell for freshwater fish may also be beneficial. However, if you have hard water it's generally unnecessary to add salt. If you stop using the salt, change the larvae to the unsalted water gradually.
