I have promoted Chris Michaels to moderator status. He has been a mainstay of the site for most of its life and it's great to have him as a mod.

Re: New Moderator

Basically, make a nuisance of yourself.

Abrahm (or Jenn (or Dawn)) posted a good guide in the moderator section at one time.

It is still there as a sticky, right at the top. Most of the important stuff is right there.

Don't be afraid to ask questions, either.

Re: AW: New Moderator

Thankyou for all the kind messages! I will read the guide (really I should be telling other people to read existing posts...!) and begin making a nuissance of myself.

Rodrigo Palacios (Azhael) is now a moderator too. Kapo and Ianclick now have site contributor status and are no longer moderators.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
