I recently bought some blackworms from the aquarium. For the first day they were swimming around and obviously alive and well, but now they all appear quite dead. Is that normal that they die a few days after purchasing them? Are they still safe to feed to my axolotl? How can i keep them alive in future?
Thanks for you help

Dead blackworms turn kind of grey and disintegrate pretty quickly.

How are you keeping them? The best way I've found is to keep them in a tupperware bowl in the fridge, and rinse them every other day or so with refrigerated aquarium water. They'll keep for weeks like this.

Also don't feed your animals dead blackworms, the smell alone should say that. Unless they're freeze-dried in cubes and purchased dead like that.
