Kingsnake.com amphibian chat Feb 7 09

Re: KIngsnake.com amphibian chat Feb 7 09

I approved this. Please don't send me more PMs. It's a once off link and it will be removed after the chat.

The moderators and John were nice enough to approve this. It makes it a little less awkward for me. Caudata.org will probably pop up in the chat. I enjoy chatting at the "Pond" on this site. But for tonight I'll be at the other chat.

The chat will be moderated but people are only booted off for personal attacks or vulgarity. If you have a peeve about how salamanders are sold on some sites you could come on and vent it.

I'll try to pop in for a while on the chat tonight.

Why is it such a big deal to post a link to KS chat?

One of the issues is Kingsnake allows sales of wild caught animals.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
