I'm new here, so I thought I would drop by and say hello!
I'm not new to raising salamanders. I have had a fire salamander and tigers salamanders some years ago.
I'm looking for some more unusual kinds of fire salamanders. If anyone has some for sale, please let me know, thank you!

Hi there!

Welcome to the site

If you keep an eye on the advertisements which are located down the bottom of the main forum webpage (there is a 'wanted' and 'for sale/trade' section) something may crop up there.

jacq,
Hi!
Thank you for the warm welcome!
I've been checking. I've also PM'd someone here.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
