Hey everyone :D My name's Sadie and I live in Liverpool, U.K.
Just thought I'd introduce myself properly! I've posted a couple of times on the forum to get advice regarding Jiggly my axolotl, and would like to say a big thank you to everyone who replied to my posts. It certainly clarified a few issues for me! This site is invaluable as there isn't really a great deal of information about how to care for axolotls that I've come across. This is most definitely the best resource for finding information about these amazing creatures! I shall be donating when I have some more money (currently looking for work)!
Thanks everyone, catch you all soon!

Hi Jacq!
Nice to meet you! Thats a nice looking golden albino in your photo! How many axies/other creatures do you own? I have always loved amphibians especially salamanders/newts/lizards but have only been a proud owner of my first axie for 6/7 months! All is well so far! I'm on the look out for another- they're such amazing little creatures!
Regards,
Sadie.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
