I need help. What in the world am i supposed to feed him. I can't think of anything that would be small enough for him to eat.:confused::confused::confused:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Brian.

I still don't see photos. For help, see:

Small live foods include flightless fruit flies, pinhead crickets, springtails (maybe too small), whiteworms, woodlice, etc. You may want to read through the posts in the Live Food section of this forum.

I agree with him. You should feed some pin headed crickets, wingless fruitflies, and springtail. For newts, I think pin headed crickets are preferable.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
