Hi everyone
Im in a wee dilemma. My boyfriend recently bought a young gold axolotl, and is keeping it for me in my home town. I can't get down there for three weeks. He's telling me it has white stuff covering half its tail, but his descriptions are kind of mixed. I can't tell from what he has said whether it is fungus or not and his camera is playing up.
He says it looks fuzzy, flat, flaky. Sometimes he thinks it looks a little reflective, other times not at all. I think its probably just the colouring, but just in case...
If it is a fungus, how quickly do they tend to spread?
Would it be fine for three weeks until I get down there or would that be quite harmful?
I just need to know if I'm able to leave it or if something should be done before then.
I don't want him to give it salt baths if it isnt fungus but what do you all suggest?
If I can get a picture anytime, I'll put it up
