Hi all, I'm looking at getting a new tank for Impy and Gimpy, and I've narrowed it down to:

Fluval roma 200 £249

or

Aqua one evo 100 £349

Any thoughts and comments welcome.

cheers

Hi Orange,

Both are reputable brands and tanks, I would lean towards the Fluval roma because it has an extra 10 litres capacity its not really a significant difference but the price is.

My money would go on the Fluval. Much more bang for the buck (or pound sterling...?;)).
Both are nice looking tanks though!

I wish That Evo was available in my area, That is a sharp looking tank and stand.

cheers guys, went for the roma in the end and it looks amazing!!!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
