Hi everyone

I'm Linzi and i'm from Plymouth, Devon in the UK.

I have a qorgeous albino axolotl called Marley - named by my three year old, who said he looked like he had dreads, so in honour of Bob,it had to be done!

Also I have 12 larve/baby axes who are about a week old, and all doing really well.

My boyfriend and I are currently setting up a new tank for Marley, and thought this site was the best place to come for help, advise and ideas!

Looking forward to exploring the site and getting to know some of you.

Linzi

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
