As you can see, I'm new here so a little introduction would be nice, right?

My name is Bart, live in the Netherlands and am 21 years old. Still live at my parents house, but got a nice girlfriend and we're looking for a home together. So...

Anyway, the reason I became a member here is because I'm really obsessed with Axolotl's, and am getting two of em pretty soon. Bought an aquarium today, will ready it tomorrow and then it's up to my filter and water to get things going. So... I can't wait!

O yeah, and last but not least, I also got 3 guppies in a separate tank. No names yet, but I'm sure my girlfriend can think of a few ^^

Bye for now!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
