I'm from Gdansk in Poland and just bought my first axies. I'm interested in aquaristic and terraristic and I'm keeping various dendrobatids, leopard geckos and colubrid snakes. I wish to learn something new about newts and salamanders.

Hello Bazalt, welcome to the forum!

What have you named your axies? And what colours are they...in fact, you might as well just post a picture!

Hi Bazalt! It is nice meeting you here. I look forward to knowing you better and learning more about your animals, and looking at any pictures you have. :)

Have a great day! Just remember that no question is too simple to ask.

Ooh, what colubrids do you have? Don't tell the salamanders, but I'm a closet snake nerd :)

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
