Hi,

I posted a couple of weeks ago regarding my axie being swollen around the stomach area and I was concerned she may have swallowed gravel.

I had such wonderful advice from everyone and fridged her, on the first day she passed approx 15 small stones and the following day another 15!! So crazy, could not believe how many were in her stomach, the poor thing.

I also did source the live earthworms from Bunnings and she loves them.

So thankyou so much to everyone for their help, very much appreciated (by both us and our axie I'm sure lol)

Oh and of course we have removed the gravel!

Thats great news, lets hope that's the last of the gravel out of her system.

Be great to see some pictures ;)

Thank you for the update..its great she's now doing so well.:D

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
