We are currently looking to recruit an animal keeper to work within our Reptile, Amphibian and Invertebrate department. Previous experience working in a zoological collection would be an advantage....

...Roles and responsibilities include daily animal husbandry, maintaining good health of the animals and keeping daily checks and records.
The chosen applicant is expected to be able to work well as part of a team, be hard-working, self-motivated and able to use their initiative. The applicant must possess good interpersonal skills including talking to members of the public which is an essential part of the role.
A full driving licence is advantageous.

Marwell have just finished building a biosecure amphibian 'ark' in which they will be using Neurergus kaiseri as a model species.

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
