Hi, I came across this website while trying to research my three little friends. I have had two Axolotls for two weeks now, and today I got another one! I am very quickly starting to love these little guys.
Yesterday I was flicking through pictures I had taken of them and noticed a Movie maker button. Well, I clicked on it and managed to make a Youtube video! So, if your interested I will post that sometime. Its only of my first two axolotls, but I plan to make another video soon.
Always happy to take advice on caring for these guys since its the first time I have ventured away from fish.

Thats all I have to say lol :p

and remeber! give me advice! I strive for the best for my pets!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
