HI,
I posted some questions on here earlier today, thanks for the responses so far.
Now for another, In a nutshell I am planning to house an Axie in a tank in a school classroom soon.
I'm planning to get the Axie from the website exoticpets.co.uk - they seem fairly reputable. I really love the look of the golden axies which the website says will be 5 - 10 cm on delivery.
At this size I'm guessing it's still fairly young, will it be ok to leave over the weekend? The tank I'm going to set up for him/her I plan to add daphnia, scuds, oligchate, small snails like ramshorns etc while cycling for a few weeks before I get the axie in so while I'm not around there should be a fair amount for the little chap(pete) to hunt .
The axie will be fed daily during the week and furthermore the classroom is air conditioned meaning I can drop the temp down to 14C quite easily over the weekend.
Is all this enough or will it be advisable to keep the little fella at home in a smaller tank while he grows a bit?
Thanks
