Re: Inteligent axies

Hi my axolotl is blind in one eye (i got her like that from a pet shop)

So when i feed her i always show the food on her good eye.

If i wiggle the worm or food she chases after it and takes it from my fingers.

She also swims to the top of her rock and looks at me when its feeding time.

I think shes pretty clever for a one eyed axolotl, lol :p

Re: Inteligent axies

Most of mine are quite clever at catching foods mid-fall, but I have one which I tell, "You would starve in nature". He turns in exactly the wrong direction, always. I suspect he is trying to feel the prey with his lateral nerve (or what's it called?) but it still makes him look ... special.

Haha Eva!

Sometimes I think Kasper is so clever and then sometimes I am just like whoa... You idiot haha. I will be shaking food in his face with my middle and index fingers and he will bite my thumb or something. Haha.

Bless.

What I mean is that he will sort of walk along the glass and eat the pellets as he goes
I think he is so clever :proud: + :D =

Re: Inteligent axies

My leucistic does the exact same thing as Eva's. Turns the wrong way, his reactions are also sometimes ridiculously delayed, or he'll snap at the food in such a half-assed manner, he'd be dead in the wild. Its frustrating at feeding time sometimes
