HI Guys.
Well, Ron is growing to become quite the little character! He's very lazy but does have his mad two hours every evening where he swims around his tank non-stop. He got bought a nice big cave two weeks ago, and I never saw him use it until this morning- peering out of the cave door, smiling at me!
I'm interested in introducing a second Axolotl. Now, I know Ambystoma Mexicanum do not crave company and are perfectly solitary animals. So my reasoning is that they are fascinating creatures and would love to see two interacting with each other.
My concerns.
I really don't want to interrupt Ron in his 'daily rituals' or put him at any risk of discomfort at all by adding the presence of a second Axolotl. I fear that he, or indeed Ron, will become aggressive and cause each other damage, and I'd hate to think that I'd be responsible for that, when there is no real practical reason to introduce a tank mate.
Do you guys ever see your multiple-occupied tanks stage Axolotl fighting/disagreements?
Thinking long and hard. Mike.
