Wow!! She looks brilliant. You must be pleased...great bit of nursing care there! Is she still having injections?

she has one more jab left.

She is still bloated but not as bad as she was.

She is back in the main tank again now as each thursday we get food shopping and end up with no room in the fridge for her!

for all those that didn't know what wilma was looking like..

Oh wow she looks much better. I hope she continues to heal up just fine. :)

Wilma looks great! I had to find the older thread (here) to see what had happened. Did you ever find out what exactly was troubling her? In any case, whatever it was, you seem to have caught and treated it in time - congratulations!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
