Hi all,

For the last few days, Sunny has been vomiting or going toilets? But I know what his faces look like and this does not look like them, or am I being paranoid? I have not been feeding him as I want to work out what this is, incase I was overfeeding him. Hes not fat, but hes not skinny at all, looks happy and healthy. His waters all perfect. So I'm not sure what this is?
Heres a terrible picture of it haha. Any advice would be good =]

Disintegrated poo is my guess.

ahh ok, just looked very different, thats all =]

Thank you! better safe than sorry =]

It's either disintegrated poo like Ray suggested or it's dirt from inside the worms your feeding it, that is assuming you feed it worms. Either way it's nothing to sweat over.

Unfortunetly, worms are unavailable, so he gets mainly pellets and gets bloodworms, worms and beef heart as treats.

He seems happy enough though, no signs of stress =]

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
