Hello everybody! Nice to found you. I knew for the site for a long time but somehow never became a member until now. Today, I started to think about building a terrarium for newts so it was logical choice to became a community member. In past, I had few terrarium with Lissotriton vulgaris, Mesotriton alpestris, Salamandra salamandra, Salamandra atra, Triturus carnifex...all in all I am there again. I was looking for photos of terrarium and advices about building and found it on this site. For now, I can´t see very much of everything but that will change eventually, I hope. That´s all for my first time. bye
p.s. I forgot to write some things that are wanted. I come from Slovenia, and I am studying biology(4th year)

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
