What is your favorite Salamandra salamandra subspecies? Gigliolli? Salamandra? Fatuosa? Which 1 might it be?

This is a great poll but no surprise that gigliolli and alfredschmitdi are top although i think s.salamandra are underated.

I have to say that S. s. alfredschmitdi have to be my favorite with S. s. werneri coming in a close second.

I had a tough time choosing as i have nearly all of them, i chose morenica, but werneri are so nice too, they are all so different personality-wise, which is something i didnt expect to notice, with gigliolli being the shyest and my almanzoris being the boldest.

Hands down, no doubt, Alfredschmidti, the golden ones!
They are real awesome stunners,...:D

And a huge shame we can´t have them, or nearly any other salamandra specie, here!:(

That´s a different species, siskin. This post is about Salamandra salamandra and all its subspecies, therefore none of the other species in the genus Salamandra are included.

I dont like Alfredschmidti as much because of its rather dull color. I chose gigliolii because of its stunning visual appearance.

Not all Alfredschmidti are dull they have a very varied coloration from a brown/bronze to a solid yellow
I agree(but I still like fastuosa better). Here's one particularly fascinating image:

I have always been a S. salamandra fan. Though I would love to have a set of Salamandra Ianzai. All black, how cool.
