Hello,

I have been reading Caudata forum for a couple of years, and its finally time to start writing something.

In the salamander world I keep Tylototriton shanjing (Mandarin Salamander) and Salamandra salamandra (Fire Salamander).

As of now I have loads of larvaes from the Mandarin and also new eggs. Ill try post some pictures of my settup as I have tried to keep them differently the last couple of years and the last setup seems to be the most succsessfull for the Mandarin. They thrive alot more.

Welcome to the forum. I am really looking forward to seeing pictures of your setups.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
