On the caudata care sheets, it says to feed your tiger salamander every 2-3 days as much as it can eat in about 10 minutes. Now, I'm not sure if this is referring to those who hand feed their tigers but I do feed mine a bit more than you feed yours and they're about the same size. First off all, I wouldn't just feed crickets, especially if you're not dusting them. I feed my guys nightcrawlers, red wigglers, and phoenix worms as well. As an example of a feeding session, I might feed mine 1/3 of a nightcrawler plus a couple of red wigglers OR a few phoenix worms. Or I might just feed phoenix worms, in that case they each get maybe 5-6. Shockingly, I did not think this possible, but they will slow down a little as you fill them up. My guys are a bit on the thin side so I can actually see them get plump and sluggish. My feeding sessions probably last about 10 minutes but I also have 3 tigers to contend with so it's a bit of a circus.
