Can you tell golden albino and normal albino apart when they are just eggs?

Short answer nope. lol
I dont think so anyway, i've had golden abino from brown eggs but i think i have some now from white eggs but not too sure yet,
Hope that helps.....slightly

Hello,

In fact, the colour of the freshly laid eggs depends on the mother : white if the mother is albino, black and cream in other cases.
After tailbud stage, the embryo begins to make its own colours ; melanocytes on eyes and dorsal stripe are then easy to see, but xanthophores are less evident.

Thats still a no lol.
I had some brown eggs and out of them i got wilds and golden albino.
I noticed that I couldn't see the eyes developing on the golds i could see the baby wilds eyes before hatching.

Albino eggs are much harder to spot the infertile eggs.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
