Hi! does anyone know where i can get hold of some live shrimp to put in with my newts? Id like to give them a live alternative to bloodworm. (Im from West Yorkshire in England if anyone know knows a shop selling them) Thanks!

Hello,
here in England do not know if it's like here, but you can always try to get in pet shops! If you have problems you can always try the forums with the people of the fish! However you can always choose to live with other higher nutritional value, such as the earthworm. Which turns out to be more substantial than their own frozen bloodworms!
I have helped!

Most aquatic / fish centres will sell shrimp. River shrimp tend to be tucked away out doors, so you need to ask for them.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
