Extreame wierd behavour!!!!

5 minutes ago I had turned my filter off for five mins while I did sumthing and my wild female was trying to get out of the water and hopped on the filter and completly stuck her full head out of the water I have one live plant in it and no sign metomorphing and she did not go bac in the water 4 a full 30 secs I had to poke her head bac in and she still tried to get out like crazy. Is thier any reason y?? It went on 4 a good 5 mins before I put the filter bac on then she stopped completly

    with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
