Shipping Baby Axies

I had mine shipped across country (TX to CT) in a styrofoam box with ziplocs enclosed. Put water in the bags and put the bags in the styrofoam box. As long as the USPS doesn't mess up and they deliver on time, things should be fine. I have the USPS screw up a shipment from VA to CT, took an extra day (even though it was GUARANTEED overnight) and 2 dead baby axies were delivered. They were packed in 1L bottles in a cooler and box. They would have arrived healthy and happy if the damn USPS had done their job.

P.S. Did you find placement for all of your baby goldens?

    with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
