You could go for something original like tigger, tiger. Or are you wanting something more like a sensible name?

I got a new newt and my mam suggested nosey or tinker for her.

Its markings are sort of vermiculate. How about Vern? Or LaVergne if its female? ;)

Ours is Spike...course we thought he was an Axie and named him cause of his external gills.
now we are thinking Mo or Pinky- cause he has 'little pinky toes' thats my 5yo's first choice.
dont know if that helps or not....

Balam, it means jaguar in Maya.

if it's male Tanathor, if is SHE Zaphira :D

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
