Members of the Ambystoma genus would require the same type of care and are fossorial like the tiger. However, in terms of size - tigers are the largest.

Some members of the Salamandra genus approach the size of tigers but are not fossorial - though similar care.

You may want to look through the species data base in Caudata Culture to research another species that may be of interest: Caudata Culture Species Database - All Families

And maelstrom, as required in the forum rules, please use proper spelling and punctuation when posting . Thanks.

Why not another tiger? There are several different subspecies, with strikingly different patterns.
