Hi all,
I am currently making my own care sheet for axolotls and would like to hear any info you have on breeding them, i have checked out all the web pages associated with this page and others but im looking for your views on it, im not using any information i cant find in more than one place so your opinions may validate info i have already found. also can any one tell me about spermatophors there size, looks anything that can help to explain them and also for me to understand them as i have recently got a male and would like to know what to look out for. i plan to breed my axies once ive got them all the the right breeding age. Thank you for any help

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
